La Liga (Week 8) : Valencia beats Gijon 2-1
SPAIN, Oct. 16, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 8: After losing 0-2 to Atletico Madrid on October 2, Los Che returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Gijon this Sunday.
Mario Suárez scored dual goals
Valencia midfielder Mario Suárez opened the score in the 7th minute, before seeing Sporting Gijon catch up in the 41st minute thanks to Castro Carlos. 1-1 at half time. Los Che eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Suárez in the 65th minute.
Valencia CF climbed to 14th place with 9 points from 8 games, tie on points with Malaga CF.
