La Liga (Week 9) : Barcelona beats Valencia 3-2

SPAIN, Oct. 22, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 9: Two wins in a row for Barcelona. After their 4-0 win against Deportivo La Coruna on October 15, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-2 victory over Valencia this Saturday.

Lionel Messi scored dual goals

Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine forward Lionel Messi in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Suárez '62 and Messi '90/penalty).

FC Barcelona climbed to first place with 19 points from 9 games, one point ahead of runner-up Atletico Madrid, which has a game in hand.
