La Liga (Week 9) : Real Sociedad beats Alavés 3-0
SPAIN, Oct. 22, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 9: After losing 3-2 to Athletic Bilbao on October 16, La Real bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Alavés this Saturday.
Real Sociedad dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Prieto Xabi in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, La Real further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Willian Jose '57 and Vela '87).
Real Sociedad climbed to 7th place with 13 points from 9 games, 2 points behind Athletic Bilbao, which has a game in hand.
