La Liga (Week 18) : Valencia beats Espanyol 2-1
SPAIN, Jan. 15, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 18: After their 3-3 draw against Osasuna on January 9, Los Che bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Espanyol this Sunday.
Valencia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Martín Montoya in the 17th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Che further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mina Santi in the 73rd minute.
RCD Espanyol remains in 11st place with 23 points from 18 games, tie on points with SD Eibar, which has a game in hand.
