SPAIN, Apr. 23, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 33: After a 2-3 victory over Sporting Gijon on April 15, Los Blancos lost 3-2 against Barcelona.
Lionel Messi scored dual goals
Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro Carlos opened the score in the 28th minute, before seeing Barcelona catch up in the 33rd minute thanks to Lionel Messi. 1-1 at half time. Barca eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Rakitić ('73) and Messi ('90).
FC Barcelona climbed to first place with 75 points from 33 games, tie on points with runner-up Real Madrid, which has a game in hand.
