La Liga (Week 22) : Barcelona beats Alavés 6-0
SPAIN, Feb. 11, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 22: Two wins in a row for Barcelona. After their 3-0 win against Athletic Bilbao on February 4, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 6-0 victory over Alavés this Saturday.
Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to goals from Suárez ('37) and Neymar ('40). Leading 2-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Messi '59, Alexis Ruano '63/own, Rakitić '65 and Suárez '67).
FC Barcelona climbed to first place with 48 points from 22 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Real Madrid, which has three games in hand.
