SPAIN, Feb. 19, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 23: Three wins in a row for Barcelona. After their success against Athletic Bilbao and Alavés, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Leganés this Sunday.
Lionel Messi scored dual goals
Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine forward Lionel Messi in the 4th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Messi on penalty seconds before the end of regulation.
FC Barcelona remains in second place with 51 points from 23 games, one point behind Real Madrid, which has two games in hand.
