La Liga (Week 23) : Real Madrid beats Espanyol 2-0
SPAIN, Feb. 18, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 23: Four wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their success against Malaga, Real Sociedad and Osasuna, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Espanyol this Saturday.
Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Álvaro Morata in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bale with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Real Madrid remains in first place with 52 points from 21 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up FC Barcelona.
