La Liga (Week 22) : Real Sociedad beats Espanyol 2-1
SPAIN, Feb. 10, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 22: Two wins in a row for Real Sociedad. After their 3-2 win against Osasuna on February 5, La Real continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Espanyol this Friday.
Real Sociedad forward Carlos Vela opened the score in the 26th minute, before seeing Espanyol catch up in the 35th minute thanks to Perez Hernan. 1-1 at half time. La Real eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Illarramendi in the 61st minute.
Real Sociedad climbed to fourth place with 41 points from 22 games, 2 points behind Sevilla FC, which has a game in hand.
