SPAIN, Sep. 9, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 3: Three wins in a row for Barcelona. After their success against Real Betis and Alavés, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 5-0 victory over Espanyol this Saturday.
Lionel Messi scored tripple goals
Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to goals from Messi ('26, '35). Leading 2-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Messi '66, Piqué '87 and Suárez '90).
FC Barcelona climbed to first place with 9 points from 3 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Sevilla FC.
