La Liga (Week 3) : Bilbao beats Girona 2-0
SPAIN, Sep. 10, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 3: Two wins in a row for Athletic Bilbao. After their 0-1 win against Eibar on August 27, Los Leones continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Girona this Sunday.
Athletic Bilbao dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Iker Muniain in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Leones further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Aduriz in the 53rd minute.
Athletic Bilbao climbed to fourth place with 7 points from 3 games, tie on points with Sevilla FC.
