La Liga (Week 6) : Barcelona beats Girona 3-0
SPAIN, Sep. 23, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 6: 6 wins in a row for Barcelona. After their success against Real Betis, Alavés, Espanyol, Getafe and Eibar, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-0 victory over Girona this Saturday.
Barcelona dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Benitez Aday in the 17th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Iraizoz '48/own and Suárez '69).
FC Barcelona remains in first place with 18 points from 6 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up Atletico Madrid.
