ENGLAND, Dec. 26, 2014 (AMP) — League One / Match day 22: Two wins in a row for Chesterfield. After their 2-3 win against Gillingham on December 20, the Spireites continued their sensational form in the League One with a 3-2 victory over Peterborough United this Friday.
Chesterfield dominated the first half thanks to goals from Newell ('10 own) and Gnanduillet ('34). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Spireites further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Doyle in the 54th minute.
Chesterfield FC climbed to 9th place with 31 points from 22 games, tie on points with Notts County FC, which has a game in hand.
