ENGLAND, Jan. 17, 2015 (AMP) — League One / Match day 26: After losing 3-0 to Chesterfield on January 10, the Valiants returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Peterborough United this Saturday.
Washington opened the score in the 21st minute, before seeing Port Vale catch up in the 32nd minute thanks to Birchall. 1-1 at half time. The Valiants eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Williamson on penalty in the 47th minute.
Port Vale FC climbed to 9th place with 35 points from 26 games, tie on points with Chesterfield FC, which has a game in hand.
