League Two (Week 12) : Burton beats Northampton 2-1
ENGLAND, Oct. 11, 2014 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 12: After losing 1-3 to Cambridge United on October 3, the Brewers returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Northampton Town this Saturday.
Burton Albion dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Blyth in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Brewers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mcdonald with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Burton Albion FC climbed to first place with 25 points from 12 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Bury FC, which has a game in hand.
