League Two (Week 8) : Northampton defeats Hartlepool 5-1
ENGLAND, Sep. 16, 2014 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 8: After losing 3-2 to Newport County on September 13, the Cobblers returned to winning ways with a 5-1 victory over Hartlepool United this Tuesday.
Richards and Mohamed scored dual goals
Hartlepool United opened the score in the score in the 1st minute thanks to Wyke, before Northampton Town regained the advantage with Richards ('12 on penalty) and Mohamed ('20, '35). Leading 3-1 at the break, the Cobblers further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (D Ath '67 and Richards '76).
Northampton Town FC climbed to fifth place with 14 points from 8 games, 2 points behind Morecambe FC.
