League Two (Week 25) : Doncaster beats Portsmouth 3-1
ENGLAND, Jan. 5, 2017 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 25: Two wins in a row for Doncaster Rovers. After their 1-0 win against Stevenage on January 2, Rovers continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth this Thursday.
Marquis John scored dual goals
Marquis John opened the score in the 5th minute, before seeing Portsmouth catch up in the 41st minute thanks to Naismith Kal. 1-1 at half time. Rovers eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Rowe Tommy ('59) and Marquis John ('71).
Doncaster Rovers FC remains in first place with 52 points from 25 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up Plymouth Argyle FC, which has a game in hand.
