ENGLAND, Apr. 1, 2017 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 40: After losing 0-1 to Plymouth Argyle on March 26, Rovers returned to winning ways with a 5-1 victory over Grimsby Town this Saturday.
Marquis John scored tripple goals
Grimsby Town opened the score in the score in the 34th minute thanks to Jones Sam, before Doncaster Rovers regained the advantage with Marquis John ('37, '43). Leading 2-1 at the break, Rovers further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Marquis John '62, Williams Andy '79 and May Alfie '89).
Doncaster Rovers FC remains in first place with 81 points from 40 games, a 6-point lead over runner-up Plymouth Argyle FC, which has a game in hand.
