League Two (Week 45) : Carlisle defeats Newport 2-1
ENGLAND, Apr. 29, 2017 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 45: After three straigth draws, the Cumbrians bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Newport County this Saturday.
Newport County had started off well by taking the lead in the 12th minute with a goal by Demetriou Mickey. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Cumbrians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Ibehre Jabo '58 and Adams Nicky '60).
Carlisle United FC climbed to 6th place with 68 points from 45 games, 3 points behind Exeter City FC.
