FRANCE, Aug. 16, 2014 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 2: After losing 2-0 to Lyon on August 10, Rennes bounced back with a 6-2 victory over Evian this Saturday.
Ola Toivonen,Mexer and Paul-Georges Ntep scored dual goals
Rennes dominated the first half thanks to goals from Toivonen ('6) and Mexer ('39, '43). Leading 3-1 at the break, Rennes players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Toivonen '57 and Ntep '76, '87).
Rennes climbed to 6th place with 3 points from 2 games, only one point behind Lille.
