Ligue 1 (Week 22) : Lyon defeats Metz 2-0
FRANCE, Jan. 25, 2015 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 22: 7 wins in a row for Lyon. After their success against Reims, Evian, Caen, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Lens, “Les Gones” continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-0 victory over Metz this Sunday.
Lyon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Alexandre Lacazette in the 31st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Les Gones” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Tolisso with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Olympique Lyonnais remains in first place with 48 points from 22 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up Olympique de Marseille.
