Ligue 1 (Week 21) : Montpellier beats Metz 3-2
FRANCE, Jan. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 21: Two wins in a row for Montpellier. After their 2-1 win against Marseille on January 9, Montpellier continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 3-2 victory over Metz this Saturday.
Lucas Barrios scored tripple goals
Metz had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Ngbakoto ('20 on penalty) and Bussmann ('38), while Montpellier only scored once Barrios ('17 on penalty). Trailing 2-1 at half time, Montpellier players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Barrios '53, '69).
Montpellier HSC climbed to 6th place with 32 points from 21 games, 4 points behind AS Monaco.
