Ligue 1 (Week 5) : Saint-Etienne beats Montpellier 2-1
FRANCE, Sep. 12, 2015 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 5: Three wins in a row for Saint-Etienne. After their success against Lorient and Bastia, Saint-Etienne continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-1 victory over Montpellier this Saturday.
Saint-Etienne dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Senegalese defender Moustapha Sall in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Saint-Etienne players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Roux in the 59th minute.
Saint-Etienne climbed to third place with 10 points from 5 games, tie on points with Reims.
