FRANCE, Jan. 22, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 22: Two wins in a row for Rennes. After their 2-4 win against Troyes on January 16, Rennes continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 1-0 victory over GFC Ajaccio this Friday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by GFC Ajaccio defender Rodéric Filippi into his own net in stoppage time.
Rennes climbed to third place with 34 points from 22 games, 2 points behind AS Monaco, which has a game in hand.
