Ligue 1 (Week 15) : PSG defeats Angers 2-0
FRANCE, Nov. 30, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 15: Five wins in a row for PSG. After their success against Lille, Rennes, Nantes and Lyon, PSG continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-0 victory over Angers this Wednesday.
PSG dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian defender Thiago Silva in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, PSG players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cavani on penalty in the 66th minute.
Paris Saint-Germain climbed to second place with 35 points from 15 games, only one point behind OGC Nice.
