Ligue 1 (Week 26) : Bastia hold Monaco to 1-1
FRANCE, Feb. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 26: Monaco was held to a 1-1 draw by Bastia on Friday.
Bastia players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Guinean midfielder Sadio Diallo in the 19th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Monaco with a saving goal from Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva in the 52nd minute.
AS Monaco remains in first place with 59 points from 26 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up Paris Saint-Germain, which has a game in hand.
