FRANCE, Feb. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 26: After a 4-0 victory over Lorient on February 12, Saint-Etienne lost 2-1 against Montpellier.
Saint-Etienne had started off well by taking the lead in the 12th minute with a goal by forward Kevin Monnet-Paquet. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Montpellier players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Lasne '49 and Mounié '68).
Saint-Etienne remains in fifth place with 39 points from 26 games, 4 points behind Olympique Lyonnais, which has a game in hand.
