Ligue 1 (Week 27) : Monaco beats Guingamp 2-1
FRANCE, Feb. 25, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 27: After their 1-1 draw against Bastia on February 17, Monaco returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Guingamp this Saturday.
Monaco dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Polish defender Kamil Glik in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Monaco players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Fabinho on penalty with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
AS Monaco remains in first place with 62 points from 27 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up OGC Nice.
