Ligue 1 (Week 16) : Lyon defeats Caen 2-1
FRANCE, Dec. 3, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 16: After losing 1-2 to Lille on November 29, “Les Gones” returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Caen this Sunday.
Lyon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ivorian forward Maxwel Cornet in the 10th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Les Gones” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Diaz Mariano in the 54th minute.
Olympique Lyonnais climbed to second place with 32 points from 16 games, 9 points behind Paris Saint-Germain.
