FRANCE, Sep. 1, 2014 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 5: After losing 1-0 to Orleans on August 22, Brest bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Nancy this Monday.
Brest dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Nicolas Verdier in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Brest players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Martial in the 63rd minute.
Stade Brest climbed to fifth place with 8 points from 5 games, tie on points with Angers SCO.
