Ligue 2 (Week 9) : Lens defeats Valenciennes 2-1
FRANCE, Sep. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 9: Two wins in a row for Lens. After their 4-2 win against Orleans on September 20, Lens continued their sensational form in the Ligue 2 with a 2-1 victory over Valenciennes this Saturday.
Fortune Kevin opened the score in the 11th minute on penalty, before seeing Valenciennes catch up in the 31st minute thanks to Da Costa Nuno. 1-1 at half time. Lens eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Bourigeaud in stoppage time.
Lens climbed to fifth place with 14 points from 9 games, only one point behind FC Sochaux-Montbeliard.
