Ligue 2 (Week 10) : Valenciennes beats RCS 4-2
FRANCE, Oct. 1, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 10: After losing 1-2 to Lens on September 24, the Athenians bounced back with a 4-2 victory over RC Strasbourg this Saturday.
RC Strasbourg opened the score in the score in the 10th minute thanks to Khalid Boutaïb, before Valenciennes regained the advantage with Butin ('26) and Roudet Sebastien ('37). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Athenians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Da Costa Nuno '48 and Ciss '83).
Valenciennes FC climbed to 7th place with 14 points from 10 games, only one point behind Troyes AC.
