Ligue 2 (Week 10) : Reims defeats Auxerre 3-0
FRANCE, Sep. 30, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 10: After losing 2-1 to Brest on September 26, Reims returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Auxerre this Friday.
Reims dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Diego in the 10th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Reims players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Weber '63 and Kyei Grejohn '84).
Reims climbed to first place with 19 points from 10 games, tie on points with runner-up Stade Brest.
