Ligue 2 (Week 8) : Reims defeats GFC Ajaccio 5-0
FRANCE, Sep. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 8: Two wins in a row for Reims. After their 2-4 win against Sochaux on September 16, Reims continued their sensational form in the Ligue 2 with a 5-0 victory over GFC Ajaccio this Tuesday.
Reims dominated the first half thanks to goals from Chavarria ('10), Chavalerin Xavier ('12) and Siebatcheu ('45 on penalty). Leading 3-0 at the break, Reims players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Diego '64/penalty and Ngamukol Anatole '67).
Reims climbed to first place with 18 points from 8 games, one point ahead of runner-up Lorient.
