UNITED STATES, Jun. 18, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After a 3-2 victory over Columbus Crew on June 1, The U lost 3-2 against New York City.
New York City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Lampard Frank ('8) and Villa David ('21). Leading 2-0 at the break, NYCFC further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Pirlo Andrea in the 50th minute.
Philadelphia Union are down in fourth place with 23 points from 15 games, one point behind Real Salt Lake, which has a game in hand.
