MLS : New York City beats Seattle 2-0
UNITED STATES, Jun. 25, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: Two wins in a row for New York City. After their 3-2 win against Philadelphia Union on June 18, NYCFC continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 2-0 victory over Seattle Sounders FC this Saturday.
New York City dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Lampard Frank in the 38th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, NYCFC further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Matarrita Ronald with just 3 minutes remaining in regulation time.
New York City FC climbed to 6th place with 24 points from 17 games, tie on points with Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
