MLS : New York City defeats Red Bulls 2-0
UNITED STATES, Jul. 3, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: Three wins in a row for New York City. After their success against Philadelphia Union and Seattle Sounders FC, NYCFC continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 2-0 victory over New York Red Bulls this Sunday.
New York City dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Harrison Jack in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, NYCFC further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Villa David in the 66th minute.
New York City FC climbed to fourth place with 27 points from 18 games, only one point behind Real Salt Lake, which has a game in hand.
