MLS : New York City defeats Montreal 3-1
CANADA, Jul. 17, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 3-1 to Sporting Kansas City on July 10, NYCFC bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Montreal Impact this Sunday.
New York City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Villa David ('35) and Harrison Jack ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, NYCFC further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lampard Frank with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
New York City FC climbed to third place with 33 points from 21 games, 4 points behind Colorado Rapids, which has two games in hand.
