UNITED STATES, Jul. 10, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After four straigth victories against Philadelphia Union, Seattle Sounders FC, New York Red Bulls and New England, NYCFC lost 3-1 against Sporting Kansas City.
Sporting Kansas City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Feilhaber Benny ('8) and Medranda Jimmy ('16). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Wizards further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Opara Ike in the 51st minute.
New York City FC remains in third place with 30 points from 20 games, 4 points behind Colorado Rapids, which has two games in hand.
