MLS : Real Salt Lake defeats Philadelphia 2-1
UNITED STATES, Jul. 31, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After their 0-0 draw against New England on July 22 and 1-1 draw against San Jose Earthquakes on July 22, the Royals returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Philadelphia Union this Sunday.
Philadelphia Union had started off well by taking the lead in the 44th minute with a goal by Alberg Roland on penalty. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Royals nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Plata Joao '48 and Morales Javier '54).
Real Salt Lake climbed to 6th place with 34 points from 22 games, tie on points with Sporting Kansas City.
