MLS : Red Bulls and DC United tied at 2-2

UNITED STATES, Sep. 11, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: The match between New York Red Bulls and DC United ended in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

New York Red Bulls players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Veron Gonzalo in the 34th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Wright-phillips Bradley goal ('54) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by DC United with goals by Birnbaum Steven ('89) and Neagle Lamar ('90).

New York Red Bulls climbed to fifth place with 44 points from 29 games, 2 points behind Colorado Rapids, which has two games in hand.
