MLS : Vancouver defeats New York City 3-2
CANADA, Jul. 5, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: After four straigth victories against Philadelphia Union, Seattle Sounders FC, New York Red Bulls and Minnesota United, NYCFC lost 3-2 against Vancouver Whitecaps.
New York City had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Chanot Maxime ('34) and Villa David ('40 on penalty), while Vancouver only scored once Montero Fredy ('3). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Caps nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Harvey Jordan '54 and Reyna Yordy '88).
New York City FC remains in third place with 33 points from 19 games, 5 points behind Toronto FC.
