MLS : Portland beats Vancouver 2-1
CANADA, Jul. 23, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 1-4 to Real Salt Lake on July 19, the Timbers returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps this Sunday.
Ebobisse Jeremy opened the score in the 14th minute, before seeing Vancouver Whitecaps catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Jacobson Andrew. 1-1 at half time. The Timbers eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Blanco Sebastian in the 49th minute.
Portland Timbers climbed to 10th place with 30 points from 22 games, only one point behind Columbus Crew SC, which has a game in hand.
