UNITED STATES, Aug. 12, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: Two wins in a row for New York City. After their 3-2 win against New York Red Bulls on August 6, NYCFC continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 2-0 victory over LA Galaxy this Saturday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Lewis Jonathan ('54) and Villa David ('73).
New York City FC climbed to second place with 43 points from 24 games, 4 points behind Toronto FC.
