UNITED STATES, Aug. 18, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: After a 3-1 victory over Orlando City on August 12, New York Red Bulls lost 2-0 against Portland Timbers.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Valeri Diego ('66) and Mattocks Darren ('90).

New York Red Bulls remains in fourth place with 38 points from 24 games, 3 points behind Chicago Fire SC.
