MLS : Portland beats Colorado 2-1

UNITED STATES, Aug. 23, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: Two wins in a row for Portland Timbers. After their 2-0 win against New York Red Bulls on August 18, the Timbers continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids this Wednesday.

All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Valeri Diego ('21) and Nagbe Darlington ('23).

Portland Timbers climbed to 6th place with 40 points from 27 games, tie on points with Sporting Kansas City, which has two games in hand.
