HONIARA, Jun. 2, 2012 (AMP) — Solomon 2012 : The Solomon Islands defeated Papua New Guinea by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara.
All the action happened in the first half, with Totori goal in the 5th minute.
The result put the Solomon Islander top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, the Solomon Islands will meet third-placed the Fiji at the Lawson Tama Stadium on June 4, while Papua New Guinea will face New Zealand.
