New Zealand and Solomon Islands qualify for the semi-finals
HONIARA, Jun. 6, 2012 (AMP) — Solomon 2012 : New Zealand tied 1-1 with the Solomon Islands (halftime: 1-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara.
The New Zealanders started off well by taking the lead thanks to New Zealand forward Chris Wood in the 13th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by the Solomon Islands with a saving goal from Totori in the 56th minute.
