Premier League (Week 3) : Southampton beats West Ham 3-1
ENGLAND, Aug. 30, 2014 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 3: After their 0-0 draw against West Brom on August 23, the Saints returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over West Ham this Saturday.
Morgan Schneiderlin scored dual goals
West Ham midfielder Mark Noble opened the score in the 27th minute, before seeing Southampton catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Morgan Schneiderlin. 1-1 at half time. The Saints eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Schneiderlin ('68) and Pellè ('83).
Southampton climbed to fifth place with 4 points from 3 games, 2 points behind Manchester City FC.
