Premier League (Week 9) : Newcastle defeats Tottenham 2-1
ENGLAND, Oct. 26, 2014 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 9: Two wins in a row for Newcastle. After their 1-0 win against Leicester on October 18, the Magpies continued their sensational form in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Tottenham this Sunday.
Tottenham had started off well by taking the lead in the 18th minute with a goal by Togolese forward Emmanuel Adebayor. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Magpies nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Ameobi '46 and Pérez '58).
Tottenham Hotspur are down in 11st place with 11 points from 9 games, tie on points with Hull City.
